Biography
Alexei Basnakian received his PhD and DSc degrees from the Russian Academy of Medical Science, both in the field of DNA-degrading enzymes. He had postdoctoral trainings in molecular biology at the Harvard Medical School and in toxicology/cancer research at the National Center for Toxicological Research/U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Dr. Basnakian is a tenured Professor at the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, and Director of the DNA Damage and Toxicology Core Center at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and Research Career Scientist at the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas, USA. He is an author of 86 peer-reviewed papers and 14 reviews or book chapters. Dr. Basnakian is an Editorial Board member of several biomedical journals, and a member of NIH, AHA and VA grant study sections. His research interests are in DNases/endonucleases and DNA damage associated with toxicity, anti-cancer therapy, tissue injury and cell death.

Prof.Dr.Prakash is a Professor in the Department Of Chemistry at Sri Vidyanikethan Engineering college, Jawaharlal Lal Technological University, India. He was a NIH visiting fellow at Karmonas Cancer Research Institute, Wayne State University School Of Medicine. He was a Royal Society Visiting Scientist in the chemistry laboratories at the University of Oxford, UK He has published all his research in high impact international journals and Presented papers in International Conferences including American Chemical society Conferences. He has 33 International publications and 31 international conference presentations including American Chemical Society conferences.

Biography
Dr. Rais is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and Director of the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics group of Johns Hopkins Drug Discovery (JHDD) (https://drugdiscovery.jhu.edu/). Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, she was granted a Research Science Regulatory (RSR) fellowship at US FDA to evaluate the biopharmaceutic properties of new molecular entities from new drug applications. She received her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences with substantial experience in biopharmaceutics, drug transport, drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, preclinical formulation, and prodrug synthesis and characterization. As a part of JHDD she has taken primary responsibility for leading the DMPK group, conducting drug discovery research and writing of over 50 peer reviewed articles in high impact journals. She has served as a consultant and provided research support to several pharmaceutical biotech companies including Transcept
Research Interest
Dr. Rais received her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences with substantial experience in biopharmaceutics, drug permeability, drug transport, drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, and drug delivery including prodrug design and characterization. Rana now leads a drug metabolism, pharmacokinetic, and bio analysis laboratory and directs this unit as part of the Johns Hopkins Drug Discovery program.
